The Lone Star Land Steward Award 1997 The Bartush Land & Cattle Company (BLCC) has been active in conservation and management practices since its inception. In 1997, the BLCC was honored with the Lone Star Land Steward Award for the Cross Timbers and Prairies Eco region. The Lone Star Land Steward Awards program was developed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and recognizes and honors private landowners for their accomplishments in habitat management and wildlife conservation. The BLCC was recognized for its efforts toward long-term conservation of natural resources and habitat management. Nominees can be ranchers, farmers, foresters, and wildlife management associations and corporations/non-governmental organizations.

BLCC Buck Recognized at the Texas Big Game Awards 2009

In 2008, a BLCC Hunt Club member, Aaron Stepich, took an award-winning buck. His buck was honored at the Texas Big Game Awards in Abilene, TX. The Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) sponsors this event. It scored 192 3/8 on Boone and Crockett and was ranked in the top five bucks shot in Region Three.

BLCC Hosts NRCS for Ranch Tour September 2010

The Nation Resources Conservation Service hosted a ranch tour on the BLCC. The BLCC was recognized for over 20 years of land management and conservation, with a special focus on the use of controlled buring in land management. There were over 85 participants on the tour.
